Restaurant Martin
When I photograph in restaurants, it’s usually an impeccably prepared plate of deliciousness, a room radiant with ambience, knives flashing and flames flaring in the heat of the kitchen… this was my first chef in a hard hat. For this assignment, I covered the renovation of the building that became the home of Restaurant Martin: a restaurant in the making. What I wanted to capture was that sense of expectation and potential: looking around the partially painted rooms, the just-delivered stove system, and imagining all the meals and moments yet to come.
